How It Works…
SmoothShapes XV treats the underlying causes of cellulite through a proprietary technology called Photomology®
SmoothShapes’ 915nm laser penetrates into tissue and is preferentially absorbed by lipids1causing a thermal effect. The device’s vacuum component positions the skin for optimal laser and light penetration.
650 light has been demonstrated to affect permeability of the adipocyte (fat) cell membranes2, allowing treated fat to move into the interstitial space, evacuating the expressed fat and fluids into the lymphatic system.
PHOTOMOLOGY® TECHNOLOGY
A 915 nm laser penetrates into tissue and is preferentially absorbed by lipids, causing a thermal effect. The temperature inside the adipocyte is slightly elevated.
915 nm laser is one of the four wavelengths identified to be absorbed by lipids at a higher rate than water.
650 nm light modifies the permeability of fat cell membranes, allowing treated fat to move into the interstitial space. This change does not damage the adipocytes.
